With the autumn season officially kicked off – September 23, to be precise – it’s time to start investing time (and energy) thinking about the new autumn/winter fashion. That’s because we were very happy wearing those summer dresses and enjoying that chilled poolside before realising that summer is now over (boooo!).
But, as, with fashion, each season brings with it a new hope and trends to keep up our style and mood. The clothes are no doubt inspired by what the celebrities are wearing or fashion weeks forecasts, but it’s easy to replicate if you know how to mix and match.
So, get ready and know the new Autumn Winter 2019 season looks to start investing in ‘it-pieces’ of this year’s winter fashion:
Neon’s are no longer a passé. The art of colour clashing brings neon as one of the rages across all the runways this season. From greens, pinks and purples, add this trend in the form of hats, shoes or accessories to bring out the bold in you!
This 80’s trend is officially Fall’s most resounding messages! An instant rage with the Instagram celebrities, just pair your biker shorts with an oversized sweater, a white button-down shirt minus the couch socks and, you’ll be taking over 2019 like a celebrity yourself!
Unapologetic Tie Dye
Tie Dye is rocking this year’s fall trend. Wearing it with cropped denim jackets or a loose top is the key. Expect to see this trend across retailers as many designers have wholeheartedly embraced it by now.
Pump up your style (literally!) with this fall’s fashion staple. This trend was liked everywhere from Carolina Herrera to Anrealage. It’s clearly dominating the outerwear space and you need to just pair it with straight trousers and pumps for a unique office look!
Suiting: Smart Suits
Smart suits have morphed every bored woman’s wardrobe to an elevated eccentric style. You’ll see it in overdose this season from tailored suits to formal collections (Marks and Spencer have stocked them up!). Stand out from the crowd by matching it with a melodrama of bold colours.
The wide-leg bottoms
Definitely my thing at the moment just for the comfort and chic effect it has on my mind and body! We all agree that wide-leg jeans can never go out of style and what’s important? You can dress them up in any which way you like from casuals to formal.
Just as you were beginning to seek or emulate the extravagance of the cultural celebrity style, florals gave us the perfect solution for a darker fall/winter. An obvious trend seen at Paco Rabanne and Prada’s fall ’19 runways, florals could be seen in decorated dresses, trendy tops, skirts, or even jeans.
