Floor-sweeping gowns and lots of lace are very romantic, but if you really want to make a strong statement this A/W, then we have the perfect trend.
Two words. Modern tailoring. From the angular trims and sharply tailored trousers from Givenchy to the loose-fitting oversized tuxes from Hermès, we can see that this trend is certainly androgynous, but very elegant at the same time.
Michael Kors injected even more femininity into the tailored outwear with embellished trousers paired up with a black blazer and a large white shirt. On the other side, Tom Ford had a much more bold and edgy approach.
Paul Smith stuck to simplicity, but added a tiny pop of colour with some ochres and browns. Unlike the monochromatic Haider Ackermann collection, that stuck with the very graceful greys, blacks and taupes.
The suits have a very masculine edge but are still a perfect display of chic that anyone can pull off. Sophistication will definitely rule this Autumn/Winter 2014-15
